There have of course been many Pok\u00e9mon films, and Nintendo produced and released an <em>Animal Crossing<\/em> film (D\u014dbutsu no Mori) in theatres in Japan back in 2006. They also produced a series of three <em>Pikmin<\/em> short films which were released exclusively for sale in the Nintendo eShop in 2014. <\/p>\n<p>The <em>Animal Crossing<\/em> film made $16 million in Japan, but was never translated or released in North America.
