The Pok\u00e9mon Company International and Nintendo today introduced the Legendary Pok\u00e9mon Solgaleo and Lunala that can be found in Pok\u00e9mon Sun<\/i> and Pok\u00e9mon Moon<\/i>. The latest Pok\u00e9mon games will launch in North America on November 18th for the Nintendo 3DS. <\/p>\n
In addition to the details about these powerful Pok\u00e9mon, new characters in the game and new features were also revealed.<\/p>\n
Pok\u00e9mon Sun<\/i> and Pok\u00e9mon Moon<\/i> take place in the Alola region, which centers around four tropical islands and one artificial island. Many Pok\u00e9mon that have never been seen before inhabit the Alola region. The story begins right after the main character moves to the Alola region. After choosing to play as a hero or heroine, players can customize their character\u2019s name and appearance. No sooner have they arrived than their adventures begin to unfold, and they meet many fascinating people as they travel through the region.<\/p>\n
Professor Kukui is the Alola region\u2019s Pok\u00e9mon professor. The professor is passionate about his research into Pok\u00e9mon moves and has sometimes taken direct hits from Pok\u00e9mon if there was something to be learned from it. Sporting a white lab coat, Professor Kukui has his own unique style.<\/p>\n
Lillie is a mysterious girl who assists the professor. This young girl is about the same age as the player\u2019s character and is Professor Kukui\u2019s assistant. She\u2019s not fond of making Pok\u00e9mon fight in battles, but she loves reading and has read a great number of books. Lillie will play an important role in the story of Pok\u00e9mon Sun <\/i>andPok\u00e9mon Moon<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Hau is a Pok\u00e9mon-loving young boy with a big appetite. He is the same age as the player\u2019s character. Hau becomes one of the main character\u2019s first friends. He has a real weakness for malasadas<\/i>, a famous treat in the Alola region, and is always in search of malasada shops. Hau is a big-hearted boy who really loves Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n
In the new game, Professor Kukui provides a special Pok\u00e9dex known as the Rotom Pok\u00e9dex. It is inhabited by Rotom, a Pok\u00e9mon with the power to reside in various electronic appliances. The Rotom Pok\u00e9dex does much more than record Pok\u00e9mon info \u2014 it has its own personality. Besides showing the player\u2019s current location and their next destination, the Rotom Pok\u00e9dex also provides advice on where to go next, based on the conversations players have with other characters.<\/p>\n
The new game also includes a QR Scanner which allows players to see information about Pok\u00e9mon when they scan QR Code patterns. By scanning in special QR Code patterns, fans can register Pok\u00e9mon of the Alola region to their Pok\u00e9dex and find out where they live. If they scan in the QR Code for a Pok\u00e9mon that they haven\u2019t yet caught, players can check its habitat and search it out.<\/p>\n

Lunala\u2019s Ability is Shadow Shield, a new Ability that no previous Pok\u00e9mon has had. With the Shadow Shield Ability, a Pok\u00e9mon will take less damage from an attack that lands when the Pok\u00e9mon has full HP.<\/p>\n
