You know Pok\u00e9mon is kind of a global phenomenon, as has been co clearer recently with the explosion of Pok\u00e9mon GO around the world, and it’s not even “officially” available everywhere yet.<\/p>\n
The series got its roots in the handheld RPG format. Since the first game was released twenty years ago, millions of people have played one or more of the games. As someone who has been around since the very first game (I still have my original box and game cart of Pok\u00e9mon red) I almost forget sometimes that there are millions of new kids who have yet to discover the game. And while the upcoming Pok\u00e9mon Sun and Pok\u00e9mon Moon games will not be my first Pok\u00e9mon game to be sure, to many kids this will be the first game they play.<\/p>\n
And that’s not lost on Nintendo.<\/p>\n
Nintendo of Japan and The Pok\u00e9mon Company have been putting together a series of promotional videos for the new games, which release in North America on November 18th. The videos have a ton of heart and emphasize the community nature that the game has. Sure the game is at heart a single player experience, but playing the game with a friend, battling, and trading Pok\u00e9mon has been a staple for years.<\/p>\n
