While last year&#8217;s Pok\u00e9mon commercial was technically for The Pok\u00e9mon Company, the 30-second spot is intended to build on the excitement for the upcoming new Nintendo Switch and <em>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/em> game. Both the system and game are set to launch in Canada on March 3rd. The ad also features a new song by Imagine Dragons called \u201cBeliever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ad is scheduled to run during the game\u2019s fourth quarter this Sunday, February 5th.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most anticipated video game system and video game of the year will be seen on the biggest stage of the year,\u201d said Nicolas Chavez, Nintendo of America\u2019s Vice President of Marketing. \u201cNintendo Switch will change how, when and where people play games. It\u2019s only fitting that we\u2019re changing how, when and where we advertise those games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The soundtrack to Nintendo\u2019s ad, \u201cBeliever\u201d by Imagine Dragons, is available now on iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon mp3 and Spotify, and is part of an upcoming new album from the band. This is not the first collaboration between Nintendo and Imagine Dragons, whose members are longtime fans of the video game company and The Legend of Zelda franchise. At The Game Awards in 2014, the band closed the show by performing a medley of music from The Legend of Zelda: Majora\u2019s Mask with veteran Nintendo composer Koji Kondo.<\/p>\n<p>Check out the extended cut of the commercial below. The Nintendo Switch and <em>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/em> will be released on March 3rd.
