{"id":11720,"date":"2017-02-12T20:48:52","date_gmt":"2017-02-13T01:48:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.darkainarts.com\/gamers\/?p=11720"},"modified":"2017-02-12T20:50:18","modified_gmt":"2017-02-13T01:50:18","slug":"nintendo-to-host-splatoon-2-testfire-in-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.darkainarts.com\/gamers\/2017\/02\/nintendo-to-host-splatoon-2-testfire-in-march\/","title":{"rendered":"Nintendo to host Splatoon 2 Global Testfire in March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following in the positive success of the original <em>Splatoon<\/em>, Nintendo is rolling out a special <em>Splatoon 2<\/em> preview as well with another Global Testfire.<\/p>\n<p>With the game not set to make the switch to Nintendo&#8217;s newest console until the summer, Nintendo Switch owners be able to participate in a special <em>Splatoon 2<\/em> preview a few months earlier. A special demo version of <em>Splatoon 2<\/em> will be available for download on Nintendo Switch which will allow players to battle against opponents around the world in the <em>Splatoon 2<\/em> Global Testfire event.<\/p>\n<p>The event will give Nintendo Switch owners six chances to play with other owners worldwide during the three-day event. The timing of the event is as follows:<!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>March 24<\/u><\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>3-3:59pm ET<\/li>\n<li>11-11:59pm ET<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>March 25<\/u><\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>7-7:59am ET<\/li>\n<li>3-3:59pm ET<\/li>\n<li>11-11:59pm ET<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>March 26<\/u><\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li>7-7:59am ET<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The original Global Testfire event pre-launch of Splatoon had some connection issues, so this event is also likely being designed to test out the servers before the game launches worldwide in the summer.<\/p>\n<p>All indications are that the content for the Global Testfire is similar to what\u2019s being offered on the Nintendo Switch Preview Tour.
