{"id":12133,"date":"2017-06-05T20:56:53","date_gmt":"2017-06-06T00:56:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.darkainarts.com\/gamers\/?p=12133"},"modified":"2017-06-06T21:23:16","modified_gmt":"2017-06-07T01:23:16","slug":"pokemon-direct-set-for-june-6th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.darkainarts.com\/gamers\/2017\/06\/pokemon-direct-set-for-june-6th\/","title":{"rendered":"Pok\u00e9mon Direct set for June 6th"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nintendo announced via their social media channels on Monday afternoon that they are planning a special Nintendo Direct for tomorrow which will be all about <strong>Pok\u00e9mon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The special <em>Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> Direct is set to go live worldwide at 10:00 AM ET and will be a special 8-minute presentation of &#8220;<em>Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> news.&#8221; Nothing else is known about the direct as of yet but speculation is running wild already.<\/p>\n<p>With the latest mainline <em>Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> title(s) <em>Pok\u00e9mon Sun<\/em> and <em>Pok\u00e9mon Moon<\/em> having been out for under a year it&#8217;s possible that this will be an announcement of a third incarnation of the series similar to what Nintendo has done previously. <em>Red<\/em> and <em>Blue<\/em> had a third version of the game released later on in <em>Yellow<\/em> while <em>Gold<\/em> and <em>Silver<\/em> had a third version released in <em>Platinum<\/em>. This trend had been done many times, however <em>X<\/em> and <em>Y<\/em> never got a <em>Z<\/em> release, despite the fact that the third season of the television series was called <em>XYZ the series<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->If this is the case it also stands to speculate that the game would very likely be released for the Nintendo 3DS as there has never been an incarnation of the mainline <em>Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> series released on any of Nintendo&#8217;s home consoles. Aside from spinoff titles, all of the <em>Pok\u00e9mon<\/em> games have been released on Nintendo&#8217;s portables.<\/p>\n<p>There is also speculation that this could be an announcement of a whole new mainline Pok\u00e9mon title for Nintendo&#8217;s newest home console the Switch. With the fact that the Nintendo Switch is both a home console and a portable console this is entirely a possibility.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless it&#8217;s certainly to be something exciting.
