In just five days, <strong>Super Mario Odyssey<\/strong> for the Nintendo Switch sold more than 1.1 million units in the U.S. alone. Those sales numbers mean that it is the fastest-selling Super Mario game ever in the U.S., surpassing the <em>New Super Mario Bros. Wii<\/em> game. <\/p>\n<p>Super Mario Odyssey is also the fastest-selling game so far for Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n<p>The game has also been a critical sucess with a Metacritic review average of 97, with 43 perfect scores. This makes <em>Super Mario Odyssey<\/em> the best-reviewed game on Metacritic for any system of the last three years, tied only with <em>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\u201cThe public continues to respond positively to Mario\u2019s latest adventure,\u201d said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America\u2019s President and COO. \u201cWe\u2019re also seeing sales momentum for Nintendo Switch thanks to an ever-growing catalog of games from large publishers and indie developers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the Nintendo Switch likely to be a hot seller over the holidays Nintendo is also <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkainarts.com\/gamers\/2017\/11\/nintendo-unveils-upcoming-black-friday-deals\/\">planning<\/a> a Switch bundle with Super Mario Odyssey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Super Mario Odyssey has made records.
