Nintendo tweeted<\/a> this evening that their paid online subscription service Nintendo Switch Online, which has been delayed, will finally launch in September 2018. The service is said to cost $20 per year.<\/p>\n

This paid service lets Nintendo Switch owners enjoy online multiplayer gaming as well as a dedicated smartphone app that connects to your Nintendo Switch system and helps you connect with friends for online play sessions in compatible games.<\/p>\n

Subscribers will also get to download and play a classic game for free for a month, and will receive discount offers on select digital games.<\/p>\n
