While the Nintendo 3DS is seen as past its end of days, Nintendo is still doing some little things to keep some interest in the system – through Pok\u00e9mon. For a limited time you can get a couple of free Pok\u00e9mon from the Pok\u00e9mon Bank<\/strong> app on the Nintendo 3DS.<\/p>\n

Pok\u00e9mon Bank is the paid service for the Nintendo 3DS that allows you to store and transfer your Pok\u00e9mon online. For a limited time, if you sign up or are already registered for Pok\u00e9mon Bank, you\u2019ll receive a Passimian and an Oranguru for your Pok\u00e9mon Ultra Sun<\/em>, Pok\u00e9mon Ultra Moon<\/em>, Pok\u00e9mon Sun<\/em>, or Pok\u00e9mon Moon<\/em> game. The two Pok\u00e9mon will each arrive with a Hidden Ability that is difficult to acquire through normal gameplay.<\/p>\n

Passimian is found in the wilds of Alola only in Pok\u00e9mon Ultra Sun<\/em> and Pok\u00e9mon Sun<\/em>, so this is a good way to get the Pok\u00e9mon if you haven\u2019t played these games. In battle, if Passimian is hit with a stat-lowering effect, its Hidden Ability, Defiant, will cause Passimian\u2019s Attack to increase by two levels!<\/p>\n

Conversely, Trainers will find Oranguru in the wild only in Pok\u00e9mon Ultra Moon<\/em> and Pok\u00e9mon Moon<\/em>. Its Hidden Ability, Symbiosis, is useful but a little tricky\u2014in Double Battles, if Oranguru\u2019s teammate uses its held item, Oranguru will hand its own held item over to the teammate.<\/p>\n

To receive these Pok\u00e9mon, become an active Pok\u00e9mon Bank subscriber by October 31st, 2019. The cost for Pok\u00e9mon Bank is $4.99 for a one-year subscription. You can download Pok\u00e9mon Bank via Nintendo eShop.<\/p>\n

To receive Passimian and Oranguru:<\/p>\n

  1. Start Pok\u00e9mon Bank and select the game in which you would like to receive them.<\/li>\n
  2. After receiving your gift in Pok\u00e9mon Bank, start up the game you previously selected.<\/li>\n
  3. Speak to the delivery person in any Pok\u00e9mon Center to receive your Pok\u00e9mon as a Mystery Gift.<\/li>\n
  4. Remember to save your game!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
