Square Enix announced the release of a bunch of Final Fantasy titles accross multiple playforms yesterday, including Final Fantasy III<\/em>, Final Fantasy V<\/em> and Final Fantasy XI<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Final Fantasy III<\/em> is now available on the brand new new OUYA games console. The OUYA release of Final Fantasy III<\/em> features several updates specifically developed for the console including improved visuals and optimized control systems. A free-to-try demo version of the game is also being made available at launch.<\/p>\n

The new OUYA console is being released to early backers of the project now and will be available to the general public in June. More information about the new console can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Twenty years after the original Final Fantasy V<\/em> was released in Japan, Final Fantasy V<\/em> has now been rereleased for iOS and will be available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. The new mobile version includes additional jobs, including Gladiator, Cannoneer, Oracle and Necromancer. Also included is the optional boss, Enuo, designed by Tetsuya Nomura.<\/p>\n

Finally Square Enix has released Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin<\/em> for the Xbox 360 and PC. The latest addition to the online game features new areas to explore and develop, along with two new jobs and new beasts and monsters.<\/p>\n

With the new expansion, players can now become geomancers or rune fencers. Geomancers harness the elemental energies of Vana\u2019diel to aid their comrades and attack enemies alike. Rune fencers are versatile duelists, quick with a blade as well as incantations, and employ the power of arcane runes to sway battles.<\/p>\n

The expansion also introduces new gameplay systems, including player-built outposts, new contract work, and the introduction of special “power spots” that are hidden throughout the environment for powerful character enhancements.<\/p>\n

Final Fantasy XI: Seekers of Adoulin<\/a><\/em> will retail for $29.99 for both the Xbox 360 and for Windows PC versions. The Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition is also available for $39.99, and includes the full compilation of the stand-alone game with all four previously released expansion packs, add-on scenarios, and three battle area add-ons.<\/p>\n
