\nI’ll admit, I haven’t really played the Mario Golf<\/em> series, unless you include Nintendo’s Golf game back in 1985 on the NES that preceded the Mario series. So while the game looks cute I’m not really sure what to expect.<\/p>\n

Mario Golf: World Tour<\/em> is the first game in the series in nearly a decade with the last title coming in 2004 on the Game Boy Advance. That last game, Mario Golf: Advance Tour<\/em>, was the second game to be released on a Nintendo handheld. The original Mario Golf<\/em> title was released for the Nintendo 64 and the Game Boy Color. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Mario Golf: World Tour<\/em> is truly going to be a ‘world tour’ and will allow players to play against others worldwide in real-time competitive play. As well the scores that are accumulated can be uploaded to tournament leaderboards and the game will feature similar community aspects as found in Mario Kart 7<\/em>. Players can also set special conditions for joining the matches like no special shots, shot competitions or create a tournament in which you can only play as a single character, like Luigi. The game will of course also support local multiplayer.<\/p>\n

Confirmed characters for the game so far include Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisey, Bowser, Waluigi and Wario. No specific release date has been set yet but the game will be released this summer.<\/p>\n
