The new free to play MMO taking place in the Forgotten Realms launches into open beta today! You can download the game client right here<\/a>, make a login, then get in and start playing! Those of you who have seen my other posts<\/a> on Neverwinter know that I have very much enjoyed my time with Cryptic’s latest online adventure.<\/p>\n

Think of this as an action based MMO. You rush into combat attacking, and can see the area of effect attacks your foes make so you can block or dodge before they’re initiated. Dungeon crawling fans will find lots to do in the main adventure as well as in ‘foundry’ quests which are fan made stories to play through both for fun, experience, and treasure! The game even contains skirmishes for those of you who prefer big dungeon crawls with other players in a pick up game.<\/p>\n

Considered by many fans as basically the launch of the full game with the understanding you may discover bugs along the way, Neverwinter is available now! Be sure to check out the official forum for some pointers too, but so far the community has been wonderfully supportive as well. The login server was experiencing some issues but I’ve since been able to log in. Don’t let that deter you. Aside from scheduled down time, I can’t remember any issues like this during the last two beta weekends I participated in as well as this past weeks early beta access.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
