\nWhile the Luigi DLC for New Super Mario Bros U<\/em> has been available for sometime now, Nintendo is readying the stand alone retail title for purchase. New Super Luigi U<\/em> will be released in stores on August 25th.<\/p>\n

The game continue’s Nintendo’s “Year of Luigi” in 2013. So far, Luigi has explored multiple haunted mansions in Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon<\/em> for Nintendo 3DS, partnered up with his brother in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team<\/em>, also for Nintendo 3DS, and taken the Wii U downloadable content world by storm in New Super Luigi U.<\/p>\n

The retail version of New Super Luigi U comes in a unique green case, which will stand out with the regular blue game cases for other Wii U games. The retail version of New Super Luigi U will retail for $29.99. You won’t need to already have New Super Mario Bros U to play the game. If you already have the original game though you can download the Luigi DLC from the eShop for $19.99.<\/p>\n

New Super Luigi U<\/em> is the first platforming adventure starring Luigi as the main playable character. With more than 80 revamped stages, Luigi’s trademark high jump and the addition of playable character Nabbit, New Super Luigi U<\/em> is like an entirely new experience.<\/p>\n
