\nNintendo unveiled a special limited edition of the Nintendo 3DS XL today among the several Pok\u00e9mon related releases. The limited-edition Nintendo 3DS systems come in both blue or red and feature the Legendary Pok\u00e9mon Xerneas and Yveltal.<\/p>\n

The bundle will be released on September 27th!<\/p>\n

With the bundle coming out a few weeks prior to the release of the game itself it’s surprising that the special edition 3DS XL doesn’t include a copy of the game. The full retail copies of Pok\u00e9mon X and Pok\u00e9mon Y will be released both in stores and on the eShop on October 12th.<\/p>\n

So why doesn’t the bundle come with the game itself?<\/p>\n

Fans of the Pok\u00e9mon games have been anticipating the release of Pok\u00e9mon X and Pok\u00e9mon Y for quite some time. With that in mind fans have also likely already pre-ordered a copy of the game, making the special edition 3DS not as desirable.<\/p>\n

By releasing the limited edition 3DS XL before the game, and without a copy of the game itself, Pok\u00e9mon fans who alrady have a copy of the game ordered and are looking to upgrade to the XL have a reason to pick it up.<\/p>\n
