\nNintendo announced on Thursday that the Nintendo 3DS is once again the best-selling video game hardware system in North America. The handheld sold more than 452,000 units sold in October and sold double that of September.<\/p>\n

Software sales were strong for Nintendo as well with Pok\u00e9mon X and Pok\u00e9mon Y<\/a> as the number 1 and number 2 top-selling titles last month. The titles sold more than 1.7 million units combined and helped lead October as the biggest month for Nintendo 3DS software all year. Total Nintendo 3DS first-party software sales hit more than 2 million units sold, the highest tally since December 2011.<\/p>\n
