\nSome users have been posting about issues connecting to the Nintendo’s 3DS eShop following yesterday’s 3DS update, which added Miiverse and Nintendo Network IDs to the portable gaming device. The issue was also posted by Game Informer<\/a> and was also experienced with us here as well.<\/p>\n

Last night immeditely after the update I signed up for a Nintendo Network ID and had no issues getting into the eShop. My previous balance carried over to my new NNid without difficulty.<\/p>\n

This afternoon howerver I received the following error message when trying to access the eShop:<\/p>\n

Error Code: 005-4240
\nAn error has occured. Please try again later.
\nIf the problem persists, please visit support.nintendo.com.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

After trying a few times I was finally able to get into the eShop, so this was likely just a bit of growing pains or traffic with everyone trying to do the update en masse this afternoon.<\/p>\n
