The game, which continues the legacy of Mario-themed sports titles, will tee off in stores and in the Nintendo 3DS eShop on May 2nd.<\/p>\n<p>You can of course tee off as your favorite Mario character but you can also play as your Mii character as well while challenging players online. Shoot into warp pipes and dodge piranha plants in Mushroom Kingdom areas or take a shot at the nature-themed courses. The newly announced Castle Club has both naturalistic and Mario-themed courses, a training area to hone your skills, a pro shop where you can get unlockable gear and outfits, locker rooms and a caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--> The training area will let you focus on specific aspects of your game, such as putting. Players can customize their Mii characters using items sold at the shop, including clubs, golf balls and clothing. Different combinations of gear can affect a player\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n<p>The game includes both online and local multiplayer, though for local play you will need a copy of the game for everyone as <em>Mario Golf: World Tour<\/em> doesn&#8217;t support download play.
