The continents have been ripped up and now fly around as floating islands. Knuckles has been enlisted by a mysterious force to track down a powerful spirit that should help fix the world! Along the way he met the Chaotix, who had been hired to find the Chaos Emeralds. These gems are the key to restoring the world. Could they hold a connection to the spirit Knuckles was tasked to find?
