It’s less than a week until Dragon Ball XenoVerse is available in North America! Soon we’ll all be able to battle online and hide indoors instead of being bored from the blizzards. Today we’re taking a look at some of the RPG elements in XenoVerse as noted by YouTube user Rhymestyle who played the Japanese beta. Of course that means some of these details could have changed, but lets take a look at what could be in store as well as his video.<\/p>\n
First off it seems at level one your custom character starts with 300 HP. So yes, that means the game will actually involve HP that sounds like it increases as you level up. Potentially, it seems the highest level currently is 60, but that may increase with DLC. Really I’d like an unlimited online mode though it would probably take forever to reach over 9000.<\/p>\n
Scouters are actually useable in the game! Just press left on the D-pad to go into first person mode and you can scan your foe to see what level they are, as well as some other details. Since it’s online in Rhymestyle’s video however, the opponent is still racing towards him however during this. Apparently if you don’t have a scouter, you can go into first person mode and use sense instead for a similar effect.<\/p>\n
Leveling up only seems to happen in quests in the beta. So you can’t just ignore the main game and level up in multiplayer combat it seems. Of course, there is a chance that could have changed. You can check out Rhymestyle’s video below for all the details and to see some of this in action.<\/p>\n
