Last night we recorded a session of playing Sweet Lily Dreams, an RPG by RosePortal Games. You’ll want to skip past the 15 minute trailer loop at the start. I was waiting for viewers to come join in before starting at 9. I’d seen a lot of mixed reviews so I didn’t quite know what to expect, but for my first streams with DegiGames I thought it fit the Halloween season vibe. It’s surprising just how mixed the reviews are on Steam because I thought Sweet Lily Dreams is actually quite awesome! There’s some great references in there, the characters are fun instead of just all being basic humanoids, and between mini games and organizing your house there are fun side activities to do.<\/p>\n

The game focuses on a girl named Lily who ends up accidentally entering into the hub world of some dream guardians. Between a dog named Faith, a twisted looking cat named Curly, and Muggles, a stuffed tree thing, it’s an interesting supporting cast! Since she’s now stuck until she wakes up, Lily decides to join her new companions on a quest to erase Phobius through RPG combat, which seem to be the beasties that bring about nightmares.<\/p>\n
