There was so much stuff packed into the 45 minute presentation today and I’m just going to drop the whole text from Nintendo’s release below. There was a lot to take in and a lot of exciting stuff. There weren’t a lot of big surprises save the addition of Cloud to Super Smash, but the few things that were announced were pretty great.<\/p>\n
Some aren’t too impressed that the original Pok\u00e9mon games are being ported to the 3DS and are instead clamoring for another new game, but I say why not. As long as Red, Blue, and Yellow aren’t priced like new games and are (max) $5 then that’s just fine by me.<\/p>\n
The new\u00a0Nintendo Direct presentation today revealed details about several new and upcoming Wii U<\/a> and\u00a0Nintendo 3DS<\/a> games. Some of the exciting news included the reveal that iconic video game character Cloud from FINAL FANTASY VII<\/i> will be added as a playable DLC fighter in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U<\/a> <\/i>and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS<\/a><\/i>. Other notable announcements included the reveal of an HD remake of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess<\/i> for the Wii U console, a new Wii U bundle featuring Splatoon<\/i> and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U<\/i> and news that the Pok\u00e9mon games that started it all \u2013 Pok\u00e9mon Red Version<\/i>, Pok\u00e9mon Blue Version<\/i> andPok\u00e9mon Yellow Version<\/i> \u2013 will launch with new wireless communication functionality in the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS system on Feb. 27. <\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s never been a better time to join in on the fun with Nintendo,\u201d said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America\u2019s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. \u201cFrom new experiences like Xenoblade Chronicles X<\/i> that you can enjoy this year to re-imagined favorites like The Legend of Zelda<\/i> and Pok\u00e9mon <\/i>coming in 2016, we have you covered with games you\u2019re sure to love.\u201d<\/p>\n
