Ever since the beta, I’ve been quite vocal about how much I enjoy the Neverwinter MMO by Perfect World and Cryptic Studios on PC. It’s quite an action based title that brings gamers a lot of adventure to undertake. Now, that free to play experience is available on Xbox One consoles! That’s right, after a 10 gig or so download you could be sitting on your couch and experiencing the joy PC gamers have known in Neverwinter.
The game itself is a separate experience, so you can’t bring your characters over from the PC release unfortunately. However especially for new gamers to the title, this is a great way to jump on board. Beginning with Valindra leading an undead army upon Neverwinter itself, the game has quite an enjoyable world to explore.
For those wondering about how much the free to play model affects this game, I’ve completed much of the main campaign on PC and have yet to spend any actual money on the game just yet. So it isn’t an overbearing element to be worried about. There’s things to buy, sure, I just haven’t bothered and I’ve enjoyed the game immensely.
