Nintendo has added an update to add French language to Yo-Kai Watch. Once you’ve downloaded the latest Nintendo 3DS system update you can download a software update to play the game in French.
The change isn’t immediately noticeable and requires that you change your system language to French. In this update to Yo-Kai Watch, which updates the game to Version 1.2, the text AND all of the voiceovers in the game will change to French.
Warning though as this is a large update and takes 4,032 blocks on your SD card. The full English version of Yo-Kai Watch is 6,638 blocks.
Here’s how you do it:
- Update your Nintendo 3DS system to make sure you have the latest software version installed
- Start up the Nintendo eShop. YO-KAI WATCH should appear in the list of games for which software updates are available within the HOME menu
- Select YO-KAI WATCH Update Ver.1.2 and download it. Once the download is complete, the update will be installed automatically. The update data is saved to the SD card in your Nintendo 3DS system
- Launch the YO-KAI WATCH game, and check that your software has been updated properly. If version number 1.2 is displayed, the update was performed correctly
